MLB Betting Forecast 4/1

Here it is folks, your daily MLB betting forecast and a couple plays we like over here at The Daily Mush. We will try to bring a mix of ML bets to go along with some player props and for your reference we pull most of our odds from DKSportsBook. If we find better odds a site we will make sure to add that in here so you don’t have to go searching. Happy Betting!

This one is a bit steep for the price so it may be better suited fitting in a parlay but the Rockies have just looked horrendous to start the year and Shota Imanaga is set to his make his MLB debut. The Cubs have sputtered out of the gate but the Rockies may be just what the doctor ordered to get them jump started. Look for the energy to be up in Imanaga’s first start and for the Cubs to jump on this one early. Might even be a spot you can take the run line for the Cubs but I am sticking with the ML and probably adding it into our parlay which will be featured later in this article.

These two teams have not seen much success out of the gates but the Marlins have been scoring some runs and this pitching match up doesn’t quite scream a duel is coming. The 8.5 mark is a bit high but it shows that they expect runs to be put up on the board in this one. Look for both teams to try and jump out in front as they look to put the first couple of games in the rear view.

Prop Bets

  • Christopher Morel O .5 HR (+612)
    • Like we stated in our ML pick with the Cubs, the Rockies just ain’t it this year. Morel has massive power potential and in this spot we like him to go yard. He has had decent success against Hudson in the past racking up 2 hits over 7 plate appearances. Having less exposure to Morel in this situation bodes well for the hitter and his odds of connecting for a long ball
  • Marco Gonzales O 3.5 K’s (+110)
    • Gonzales isn’t known for his strikeout ability but in this spot against this free swinging Nationals team you gotta think he has a shot to pick this number up and quite early. At +110 you are getting value and if it doesn’t hit you go back to the drawing board. The Nationals have struck out 30 times through the first three games of the season so it isn’t crazy to think Gonzales can get to 4 before he’s pulled from this game.

Can’t Miss Parlay

  • Cubs ML (-225)
  • Sean Manaea O 5.5 K’s (+105)
  • Victor Scott U 0.5 H’s (+130)

Parlay Odds +576
